Thanks for bringing your excitement & curiosity to this growing gigabit community and for adding your energy & talent to empower people with these tools.
GIGHACKS kicks off next Friday night May 1 and we wanted to share some info and ask you to share as well:
---THE SECRET TO SUCCESS---
Friday night we would LOVE for you to bring your giga-curious friends. - Revolve Robotics – Kubi telepresence robots & API
- Giroptic – 360 degree camera
- ImmersiON VRelia – SDK to VR platform/app store
- Orange Octopus Studio -- our own mini-Amazon EC2 just for you
- webRTC support & mentorship from several companies including Mozilla’s WebRTC team
- VR headsets, a 4K display, Beam robot, MusicianLink and some other hardware –
And of course, access to a 1GBPS connection for everyone (we have ethernet cables and AC Wi-Fi)!
*** Please let us know if you have any other requests or ideas.
---FUN, “GIGABIT ROCKET FUEL” & SLEEPING AREAS---
Hack hard, play hard. We want to give you a chance to try out some gigabit experiences and get a taste of what we like to call “gigabit rocket fuel” for you including a MusicianLink setup to try jamming with far away folks, teleconference robots, cloud gaming, even arcade games and foosball, and view on the Bay bridge for your eyes only!
When you need to have a rest, we will have two sleeping areas with blankets and mugs included for you.
We’re excited to see what we can build together. Let’s get gighacking!
